ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Fen Kerrison is a photographer, musician and disability activist working in Brighton, England. Among other things, she uses a practice of landscape film photography to manage chronic illness, and to explore a meaningful relationship to her home. Outside of her photographic practice, she is a board member of Scope Local People’s Programme, a user led organisation responding to local issues relating to ableism and inaccessibility. In 2018 she released an album of music with her band i-thou. She is particularly interested in making community and solidarity across difference, informed by a Disability Justice framework and Emergent Strategy work of adrienne maree brown.
Sol Howard is a French and British writer of poetry and fiction. They are a tour guide and they also work with young people. They grew up reading strange books from the library, and started writing as a struggling teenager. Freewriting is a core part of their artistic practice, as a way to connect with the self and to capture moments in time and place. Their writing touches on climate change, community, queer trauma and magic. Their work has been published in Icelandic journal Os Pressan and they were selected to be part of the 2019 Writers’ Place Poets cohort at New Writing South.
